Residents are invited to attend the Annual Town Assembly this year, where the council will be asking members of the community to put themselves forward as volunteers as part of the Towns Emergency Resilience Plan. The draft plan has been adopted in draft format at present.
Representatives from Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service will be there to give an idea how residents can get involved in helping them out when dealing with major incidents.
Residents will also be given the opportunity to give their ideas on how to improve the town and encouraged to do so.
Those not able to attend or those who do not wish to speak publicly may write in to the council either expressing their wish to be involved in the resilience plan or to give any ideas they may have on improving the town.
Council Offices, 49 High Street, Polegate, East Sussex BN26 6AL
Although Councillors are not required to attend (this is a meeting for residents), some may be present to talk to you if you wish after the formal part of the meeting.
There will be light refreshments available at the meeting for those attending.
Doors will open at 7.30pm.
