With the take-up of electric vehicles predicted to rise sharply in the coming years, the availability of publicly accessible charge points is seen by many as essential in reducing range anxiety and increasing adoption by new drivers.
Wealden District Council, together with Hastings, Eastbourne, Lewes and Rother councils, is currently seeking views on the need for charging infrastructure in the East Sussex area. Through the survey, the councils want to try to understand the charging patterns of existing electric vehicle drivers, the level of interest in switching to an electric vehicle, and suggestions of where charge point infrastructure should be located. Views are being sought from those who currently drive electric vehicles as well as from those who don’t. To take part visit: www.wealden.gov.uk/chargepoints
