Wealden’s Disability Involvement Group is looking for new members
The Group meets every month and advises the Council on how to make services accessible to our residents with disabilities. Membership includes a varied range of disabilities and transport can be provided for representatives and their carers to attend the afternoon meetings. The group provides a valuable opportunity for Wealden District Council and other public service organisations to ensure our services meet the needs of everyone in the community and has led to a number of improvements to access, signage and how Wealden organise local facilities. Meetings last two hours, with an informal discussion and presentations from Council officers and other public services and include refreshments. They are usually in the Civic Community Hall at Hailsham.
